Taryn is an illustrator residing in Calgary, Alberta where she recently graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design as an illustration major. Her work is primarily pencil drawings decorated with digital colour; often with linework that fluxes and flows throughout, and often filled with her favourite flora and fauna. Taryn is reverently inspired by the likes of Patti Smith and Emily Carr, as well as the nature from her childhood in BC. She thoroughly enjoys playing with linocuts, cut paper, collage, and making zines.

Taryn hails from a small town in British Columbia and almost never stops talking about it (see above). When she's not working you can find Taryn daydreaming about trees and moss, reading Emily Carr’s memoirs, or eating bread and sipping coffee. She dreams of one day living on a mountaintop in a tiny log cabin with 15 cats and a strong wifi signal.

Her work has been featured in Dote Magazine and Beatroute.
